Before we start. The number one golden rule of all edits, upgrades to ANY websites or software: BACK UP, BACK UP AND THEN...BACK UP SOME MORE. NOTE: All database / mySQL information is safe from the upgrade process. This includes (but is not limited to) products info, store configuration settings, payment settings, shipping gateway settings. Ok now we can begin. Version 1.3.1 is a MAJOR upgrade to our WP Online Store plugin with a massive amount of bug fixes and a zillion cool new features. For anyone installing WP Online Store for the first time, there is nothing you need to do other than install the plugin as you would any other WordPress plugin. If you are upgrading from an earlier version of WP Online Store to version 1.3.1 there are a few easy steps to take. One of the important new features that we added to the last big update (version 1.3) was that the main CSS file (stylesheet.css) was kept in a separate folder OUTSIDE of the main WP Online Store folder. The reason for this is that in the past if you made changes to stylesheet.css and you ran a WPOLS upgrade, your stylesheet edits would have been be lost. But from 1.3 onwards any upgrades will not affect your stylesheet.css and your CSS customizations will be safe (but again back it up, just in case). ==================================================================================== ABOUT 3rd PARTY CUSTOMIZATIONS AND ADDONS (CONTRIBUTIONS) TO WP ONLINE STORE. 1. IMPORTANT: BACK EVERYTHING UP BEFORE THE UPGRADE. (Did we mention that?) So if you’re ready to upgrade. Any issues please contact us www.help.wponlinestore.com or ask in our forums
